ATHENS METRO MALL

PEOPLE COUNTING AT THE ATHENS METRO MALL BY SENSORBETA

The difficulties retail sales face today mean store owners need to be more organised and take important decisions in time, based on objective criteria and data. Everything needs to be countable, including customers and their behaviour. Customers are the target and the target always leads us to innovation in terms of product marketing, pricing, placement and promotion.

Entry-exit people/customer counting systems are one of the key tools and weapons in the effort to better organise commercial spaces. Acquiring traffic statistics, as well as their further analysing and comparing them (over time, for specific periods), provides objective results on the strategy to be followed by each business.

Anticipating these needs, SENSORBETA examined and tested numerous systems from foreign manufacturers in recent years, acquiring the capability to responsibly evaluate the features and the accuracy of each counting system, which eventually led to dealership agreements with the most reliable companies worldwide.

People counting can be carried out using ceiling systems (cameras – thermal), or with infrared beams placed on either side of passageways, as well as above the anti-theft systems located in-store.

Among the numerous projects SENSORBETA has completed the case study we have selected is the new, ultra-modern Athens Metro Mall.
